  • New web site offers
A new eBook has just been published online that will simplify the often delicate and mission-critical task of writing a "letter of recommendation". It is being touted as the one-and-only book of its kind, offering tips, advice, information, and templates for all types of recommendation letters.

According to its author, Shaun Fawcett, Instant Recommendation Letter Kit fills an important gap on the writing "how to" bookshelves. He says it stands out as absolutely unique.

"I was amazed when I did a search at amazon.com and found that there were absolutely no 'how to' books about writing letters of recommendation - it's a fairly tricky subject and there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. I was truly astonished to discover that there was nothing on the subject out there - well now there is," beamed Fawcett in a recent interview.

Evidently, the phrase "recommendation letter" is a general term that means a number of different things to different people - in a number of different situations. The new eBook explains and clarifies the confusion surrounding the various types of letter of recommendation, and provides tips, advice, samples, and templates to help people who need to write one, as well as those who need to ask someone else to write one for them.

Fawcett says there are five primary types of "recommendation letters":
    • recommendation letters - job related
    • letters of recommendation - college/university admission related
    • reference letters - job and community related
    • commendation letters - employment and community related
    • performance evaluation letters - employment related
He goes on to explain, "In addition to these, there are a few other derivative types of recommendation letters as well. It gets really confusing with people throwing around the term 'recommendation letter' all of the time without really knowing exactly what they're talking about. It causes a lot of misunderstanding when someone asks for a recommendation letter, and the person being asked has a totally different concept of what is being requested."

Fawcett points out that, of all types of letters ever written on a personal or business basis, recommendation letters are among the most critical because they almost always have important implications in the workplace or community, or in the often difficult quest for acceptance into a college or university.

Instant Recommendation Letter Kit, is the second in a series of "writing toolkit"eBooks that Fawcett has released in the past year. His first eBook, titled Instant Home Writing Kit, was published online last September. The new eBook continues with the same successful formula; combining extensive practical 'how-to' information with fully-formatted real-life sample templates that people can download into their word processor and work with.
